The PDSA estimates that in 2023, over 23million of us have pet, and 94% of pet owners say owning a pet makes them happy, so it’s no surprise that we want our pets to join us as much as possible.

 

Condor Ferries even estimate that 53% of their travellers take a holiday with their pets. And that change can be seen closer to home with high street stores opening their doors to our pets, dog friendly cinemas and pubs with dog beer on tap! 

 

Our family have travelled around the UK and some of Europe with our pets, and while it’s usually been a positive experience, it can be a long process exploring what is and what isn’t possible. For example, which beaches are dog friendly when? If a restaurant is dog friendly, are they allowed everywhere or do I need to pre book somewhere specific? Is it extra to bring my pet with me? 

 

We really wanted to create an easy place where pet owners can go and explore where to stay, eat, shop and visit with their furry friends without all the hard work, and having a web-based IT company, it was a simple solution for us, and GoFurry was created.
